島根県松江市玉湯町（たまゆちょう）
ここは古来から勾玉などの宝玉の研磨加工が行われてきた土地。
とりわけこの地で制作された碧玉やめのう製の勾玉は日本各地に流通、
玉湯町はまさに「勾玉のメッカ」だったようです。
今回から3階に分けてその勾玉の歴史や形のいわれ、
日本神話とのかかわりや穴があけられている意味（紐を通すためだけじゃなかった‼）
などなど、英語でご紹介してみます＾＾
